Cooking Course in Tuscany

Italian cooking is something all inspiring chefs dream of mastering and there is no better place to learn the secrets of this delicious cuisine then in the motherland itself.

Located between the rolling hills of Tuscany, Latium and Umbria; Santa Cristina Castle organizes Italian cookery courses for every skill level taught by the extremely talented chef Chandra Sina.

Set in the backdrop of the romantic and enchanting landscape of central Italy, the 17th century castle has recently restored its grounds to provide the perfect location to learn and experience the century old traditions of Italian cuisine.

Under the watchful eye of internationally experienced Tuscan chef Chandra, guests will prepare their own lunch and dinner, whilst being opened up to the vast world of Italian cookery through a mixture of theory and practice.

A vital part of any meal, wine and cheese tasting will also be included in the course to ensure that guests will be able to put together the perfect Italian meal.

At the end of the course guests will be awarded a diploma and CD with all the recipes and photos taken to help them recreate the magic of Italian cookery at home.

The course will be run by Tuscan chef Chandra Sina who will begin by explaining the lesson with a clear description of key ingredients and the basic elements of the Italian cuisine.

Guests will be provided with the days menu and the different matching wines. Whilst an aperitif before hand gives them the chance to mingle and get to know each other.

Various tasting of local products will introduce guests to the new flavours of Italian cookery and experience the truly unique local cuisine of the region.

A typical Italian menu will be clearly explained step by step before pupils will get the chance to practice the centuries old cooking traditions with the most modern technical tools.

Chef Chandra will be constantly present throughout the course to answer any questions, assist guests and review every dish from aperitifs to delicious Italian desserts. Guests will then be divided into small groups to prepare the different aspects of lunch or dinner.

Wines: every dish will be served with a high quality local wine chosen by the expert sommelier.
